Put it on your home screen
Put a game on your home screen and it opens like an app, with no address to type. It takes about half a minute. You can add the whole site, one game, or both. Then pick the steps for your device below.
The whole site
One icon that opens the list of every game. A good choice if you like to pick something different each time. Follow the steps below starting from everyonesgames.com.
Just one game
An icon with that game’s own name and picture, which opens straight into it. Add as many as you like, one for each game. Follow the same steps below, starting from that game’s page, the one with the big Play button.
iPhone and iPad
Use the Safari app for these steps.
Open the page in Safari.
Safari is the blue compass app. For the whole site, go to everyonesgames.com. For one game, open that game from the list and stay on its page.
Tap the Share button.
It’s the square with an arrow pointing up. On an iPhone it’s at the bottom of the screen. On an iPad it’s at the top right.
Choose “Add to Home Screen.”
Scroll down the list if you don’t see it right away.
Tap Add.
The name shows on the icon. If you are adding a game, you will see that game’s name. Tap Add, then tap the new icon on your home screen to play.
Android phone and tablet
Use the Chrome app for these steps.
Open the page in Chrome.
For the whole site, go to everyonesgames.com. For one game, open that game from the list and stay on its page.
Tap the menu.
It’s the three dots at the top right of the screen.
Choose “Add to Home screen.”
On some phones it says “Install app” instead. Either one works.
Tap Add or Install.
Then tap the new icon on your home screen to play. A game you added has its own name and picture.
Don’t see the option?
- On an iPhone or iPad, make sure you are in Safari.
- On Android, make sure you are in Chrome.
- If you are in a private or incognito window, open the site in a regular window and try again.
- To add one game, make sure you are on that game’s own page and not the home page, then try again.
- Still stuck? Write to stephen@everyonesgames.com and tell me what kind of device you have.
Making the text bigger
Use the A− and A+ buttons at the top of any page, and inside every game, to make the text smaller or bigger. The high-contrast button switches to stronger colors that are easier to see. Your choices are remembered.
Where my game is saved
Your games are saved on the phone or tablet you are playing on, with nothing sent anywhere else. If you start playing on a different device, your saved games won’t follow you yet.
On each device, pick one way to play, either the home-screen icon or the web browser, and stick with it. Your saved game and your text size may not carry over from one to the other.
